ODBC and SQL Databases
ZyLink provides
ODBC support on our Windows 2000 and 2003 servers for Microsoft Access and Excel databases. We also offer SQL database servers for both Windows
and Linux servers.
MS SQL databases are available for all Windows Plans. MySQL can be added to Linux Plans and Windows Plans.
ODBC Information
To connect with an ODBC file, you will first need to setup a Data Source Name, or DSN,
which you use to make the connection. First, you will upload the database to your account.
The next step is to fill out the DSN Setup Form. You can do this from your own
Administrative page. Go to
www.(yourdomain.name)/admin/.
SQL Database Server
We support Microsoft's
SQL 2005 for Windows servers and MYSQL for
Linux and Windows servers. If you would like to upgrade your current database to the SQL
server, or if you need to set up a new database for your account,
please fill out the form below:
*We understand
that at the outset, size may be just an estimate. You can increase
the size later if necessary. Keep in mind that while the database
will not reside within your web site, we do count its size as part of
your disk space quota.
