Zylink offers Virtual Private Servers (VPS) for Windows Server 2008 and
for a wide range of Linux distributions. As our core customer base
consists of serious developers and coders, we understand that the shared
hosting platform is not always ideal.
In many cases, a development environment
is needed that mimics are full server, with the intent to switch to a
full physical server when the site or application goes into production.
The Virtual Private Server (VPS) is an ideal bridge between the
limitations of a shared hosting environment and a full dedicated server.
The virtual server provides the same kind of root access that a true
dedicated server provides. While the virtual server exists on
hardware shared by other virtual servers, it is completely independent
of the other servers. CPU and RAM are kept to limits on each VPS
so that one VPS cannot drag down the performance of the others on the
same box. Each VPS operates in a way that is indistinguishable
from a full server.
